What should I look for in a MLM opportunity?

Use the following checklist as a guide when choosing an MLM or home based business opportunity.

  • Ask the person who is presenting you the opportunity to prove any income statements.
  • Ask how long they have been involved. They may have only just joined which is ok, but you want to know their motivation for doing so.
  • How much does it cost and ALL the joining options, some of the MLM companies have easier options on your budget.

If the person showing you the opportunity is bothered by any of your questions or is unwilling to answer or seems bothered by these questions then consider another opportunity.

Equally important are the following points to consider:

  • Do your own research before committing to the business, i.e. a Google search etc. You want to know how long the parent company has been in business.
  • Do not rush in because someone is telling you it is a ground floor opportunity and that it's launching soon in New Zealand. This may be the case but you at least want to know for sure the facts on this.
  • Do not commit on the first presentation, give yourself some time to assess the opportunity.
  • Ask yourself honestly are you willing to spend a few hours each week to try and establish your business
  • Are you willing to learn some skills in selling and presenting?
